Duplicate
Create copies of selected objects while precisely controlling spacing.
The duplicate tool allows you to quickly create copies of selected objects using their default spacing values. You can specify a number of copies and quickly clone objects in any direction.
Duplicating objects
Open the Duplicate panel by pressing (D) on the keyboard or find the icon in the Right Toolbar.
Note that you can drag the duplicate panel around the canvas using the handle in its top right corner.
Default spacing
-
If you have a single object, or multiple objects of the same type selected, you'll see the Default Object Spacing toggle will be on. See our Default Object Spacing guide for more details.
-
As you rotate objects the duplicate direction arrows will update automatically so you can always create objects in perfect alignment.
Manual spacing
-
If you have a multiple different objects selected (or a variety of object rotations) the toggle will switch to Manual Object Spacing. Objects will now always be created directly on the X and Y axes on the canvas. Individual object rotations will be ignored.
-
You can also specify a manual override even if default spacing is available.
Good to know: The duplicate tool is for Objects only. You cannot duplicate Smart Arrays, Text Labels, Dimensions, Icons, Images or Shapes.
