Object Counter

Track real-time inventory totals for all equipment and objects. No more manual chair counting.

The Object Counter provides a real-time count of the chairs and objects within your current floor plan. You can find the total chair count in the lower-right corner of the Editor. Click this icon to open the full panel, which provides a detailed breakdown of every object on your canvas.

Top tip: If you select specific objects on the canvas, the Object Counter and the chair icon will update to reflect only your current selection. This allows you to quickly verify counts for specific sections or rooms within a larger layout.

Layout Objects

The default view for the Object Counter panel shows a breakdown of every object variation on the canvas. For example, a "6ft Round - 10 Chairs" and a "6ft Round - 8 Chairs" will be listed as two separate entries.

You can see a precise count for each variation. Clicking an entry in the list will automatically select all corresponding objects on the canvas for quick identification.

If you have a Venue Inventory configured, you will see two tabs at the top of the panel:

  • Layout Objects: The standard breakdown of all individual object types used.
  • Venue Inventory: A comparison of objects used in the current layout against your venue's total physical stock.

Venue Inventory

To configure your stock levels, please refer to our guide on Managing Venue Inventory.

The Venue Inventory tab provides a critical overview of your equipment usage. If your layout exceeds your listed stock, the Count figure will be highlighted in red.

As shown in the "5ft Half Round" example below, some objects are comprised of multiple components. While the Layout Objects view may list "24x 5ft Round Tables", the Venue Inventory correctly identifies these as "48x 5ft Half Round Tables" to match your physical object stock.

If you exceed your inventory, a red warning indicator will appear next to the Layout Details icon in the top-right corner. Clicking this will display a detailed breakdown of the specific stock shortages.

Exporting the Inventory

Once a floor plan is finalised, you can export your inventory as a PDF or CSV. This provides your operations team with a clear, professional manifest of exactly what is required for the event setup.

When exporting, you can choose to include the Layout Objects view, the Venue Inventory view, or both.

Note - you can exclude objects from the inventory export if required. With your objects selected simply right click on the canvas - find the Inventory option and change from Include to Exclude.

By default all objects will be Included unless manually updated otherwise.
