Layout Details

Configure your spaces to display a variety of helpful warnings and layout information.

The Layout Details icon is located in the top toolbar next to the Share button. A small colour indicator provides a quick visual reference to identify if any issues have been detected in the current layout. Key warnings include:

Capacity Exceeded: The number of chairs exceeds the room's limit.
Inventory Shortage: You are using more objects than are available in your venue stock.
Restricted Zones: Objects have been placed in off-limits areas.

Good to know: You can override the visibility of warnings on a per-layout basis. Navigate to the layout settings in the Right Toolbar to see which warnings are enabled and adjust them as needed. This lets you quickly hide these warnings when sharing layouts, if you don't want your clients to see them.

Note the Add Status button within this panel; this allows you to add a status badge to the top toolbar that is visible to all users.

Layout Capacity

You can configure the maximum capacity for each space at your venue via the Space Library page on your dashboard.

By default, these warnings are only visible to members of your internal team. However, setting this to "All Users" can be helpful if you have shared a floor plan with a client who has edit access, as it will alert them if they add more chairs than the space allows.

Inventory Shortage Warnings

You can configure warnings to appear when you exceed your stated venue inventory. See the Venue Inventory section for more information on managing your stock levels.

Restricted Zone Warnings

You can configure warnings to trigger when objects are placed within a restricted area. To set these up, please contact our team at support@venuecad.com, and refer to the Restricted Zones section for further details.
